In a Pro Bowl overflowing with touchdown passes and interceptions, the AFC on Sunday at Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium was able to earn its fifth consecutive victory over the NFC. Indianapolis Colts linebacker Darius Leonard set the tone with a pick-six on the game’s sixth play of the game as the AFC jumped out to a lead it would never relinquish as the teams combined for seven passing touchdowns and seven interceptions. Here are five takeaways from the game.
Defense dominates from the jump. What the Pro Bowl lacks in physicality and urgency, it makes up for in opportunism. In an opening salvo void of hard hits, the flashiest plays still came from defenses, not from offenses. Kyler Murray, Kirk Cousins, Russell Wilson and Patrick Mahomes all threw interceptions in the first quarter. Kyler's pick, right into the hands of Darius Leonard, and Mahomes's wayward toss, a gift to Antonio Winfield Jr., were both returned for six; neither man was touched, save for half-hearted slaps. Cousins was stripped off the right side by T.J. Watt on the first play of the second quarter, resulting in a Myles Garrett scoop-and-score. Mac Jones got in on the pick action with his first regulation throw of the day. Wilson then threw another INT to a wide-open Derwin James. To top it off, Mahomes was stripped by Micah Parsons on the final play of the first half. Parsons had said leading up to his first Pro Bowl that he would channel the late Sean Taylor in his aggression in the NFL all-star game. The Cowboys rookie didn't quite level a punter, but he and his fellow defenders, who picked off each Pro Bowl QB at least once, were certainly more inspired than the offensive offensive play on Sunday. Maxx makes an effort. Hometown hero Maxx Crosby made the most of his Pro Bowl debut Sunday afternoon. The Raiders edge rusher left his feet at the line of scrimmage to bat down three Murray passes in the first two quarters, including one on the first play, setting the tone for the day. Deep in the second quarter, Crosby even logged a sack of Cousins in the red zone, thwarting an NFC scoring effort. Crosby finished his all-star afternoon with five tackles, three for a loss, two sacks, three passes defensed and the game’s Defensive Most Valuable Player accolade. One of the league's feel-good stories, Crosby had a field day in front of his home crowd. (Jeremy Bergman)

2022 Pro Bowl: What we learned from AFC's win over NFC

Player Ratings: Chelsea 2-1 (AET) Plymouth Argyle | FA Cup
Despite drawing level, first-team coach Arnos Michel will have been far from impressed with the lacklustre showing the Champions of Europe had mustered up in the first period. One can only imagine the thoughts of Tuchel watching on at home.
The Blues threatened to turn the screw in the second half, but profligacy was the order of the day as the attacking unit endeavoured to outdo each other in who could miss the easiest gilt-edged chance between them. Romelu Lukaku was the pick of the bunch, somehow failing to connect with a dangerous Hakim Ziyech cross from all of a couple of yards. Michael Cooper was also in inspired form in between the sticks for the plucky visitors.
As such, the Stamford Bridge faithful unfortunately had to endure another thirty minutes of painful viewing in the form of extra time. It took some cute combination play between Kai Havertz and Marcos Alonso to dispel the gloom, with the latter firing home in the 105th minute. But there was one last twist in the tale - Malang Sarr bringing Ryan Hardie down for a penalty that Kepa was equal to.
In the final analysis,
the hosts eventually got it over the line, but their opposition kept
them honest and must be commended for their role in a fascinating game.
Up next for the Pensioners is a long flight to the United Arab Emirates
where Al Jazira or Al Hilal lie in wait in the Club World Cup
semi-final. In the meantime, here are Absolute Chelsea's player ratings
for Chelsea's win over Plymouth Argyle today...
Caught in no man's land by a superb delivery from ex-Chelsea boy Jordan Houghton - who Absolute Chelsea caught up with before the game - and an argument can be made that he could have been more commanding in dealing with the threat. Of course, he couldn't account for the torrid defending in front of him. A couple of decent saves in the second half were bookended by some shakiness, but he was the man of the hour in extra time as the penalty king pulled it out of the bag once more.
In the face of adversity, it was the skipper who stood up to be counted. His desire to drive forward and drag his underperforming teammates back into proceedings was admirable, with clever and intricate runs in abundance. In spite of his advancing years, the Spaniard is ever dependable with a work ethic and attitude that cannot be discredited. A servant of the club and an example for all to follow.
Andreas Christensen - 5/10 [45]
Not a great showing from the Dane all things considered, coming back into the side for Thiago Silva. His passing was metronomic, but it was a tough day at the races in the physical battle. Withdrawn at half-time, and it's not yet certain if that was through injury or a tactical change by Michels. It wouldn't be a surprise if it was the latter.
Antonio Rudiger - 6/10An oddly quiet and non-descript performance from the German, who usually gets himself into the wars to make his mark. He was instead subdued, to the point where we didn't even see his trademark long-range drive. If he wishes to be one of the highest-paid earners at the club, he has to be more visible in games like this.
Not the most assured of starts for the Frenchman, who had difficulty dealing with Plymouth's pace on the wing. But the switch to a more natural centre-back position bore fruit after the interval, settling him down to strengthen as the day wore on - until his inexperience shone through with a clumsy challenge which almost cost Chelsea the win.

Why Do We Deserve to Die?’ Kabul’s Hazaras Bury Their Daughters.
A bomb attack that killed scores of schoolgirls, members of a long-persecuted minority, offered still more evidence that Afghanistan may be on the verge of unraveling.
KABUL, Afghanistan — One by one they brought the girls up the steep hill, shrouded bodies covered in a ceremonial prayer cloth, the pallbearers staring into the distance. Shouted prayers for the dead broke the silence.
The
bodies kept coming and the gravediggers stayed busy, straining in the
hot sun. The ceaseless rhythm was grim proof of the preceding day’s
news: Saturday afternoon’s triple bombing
at a local school had been an absolute massacre, targeting girls. There
was barely room atop the steeply pitched hill for all the new graves. More Details : Click Here

Trump faces demands for his removal, but is there time to act?
WASHINGTON — Congress’ Democratic leaders on Thursday demanded President Trump’s removal from office — vowing a swift impeachment, if necessary — in an effort to stop him from unleashing more chaos in his final, rage-filled days.
Both House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer called on Trump’s Cabinet to oust him by invoking the 25th Amendment, which was designed to remove a president who is incapacitated or unwell. They warned that the House would quickly consider impeachment articles if that does not happen.
Schumer said he and Pelosi tried to call Vice President Mike Pence on Thursday morning to urge him to follow the 25th Amendment, but Pence would not take their call.
“While there are only 13 days left, any day could
be a horror show for America,” Pelosi said, calling Trump “a very
dangerous person who should not continue in office” and adding: “This is
urgent, an emergency of the highest magnitude.” Please Click Here For Details
